So here we have a nice, garage kept !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's got all the standard S2K equipment: original yellow paint, ABS, driver and passenger airbags, black leather interior, AC, CC, PW, PL, large driver's ego, and a CD player. It's got the 2.0L engine pumping out a mind numbing 240 HP at 9000 RPM connected to a 6 speed manual (of course) and only 52,000 miles. At $10,000 over KBB value and only $9,000 less than its original 2003 MSRP value, $24,000 is a tad bit on the expensive side for a 10 year old car, but it's worth it because the owner has "owned Ferraris, Porsches, Corvettes, etc. and none compare to this car." Well I'm convinced, but what do you think?

I will say that if the car is in really, really good condition it can be a NP, but for me as an Europen is CP. Here you can get a car at around 100k km for half the price unmolested or almost unmolested ones. For that money here you can get a car that has made only 16k km.

CP. if he's never driven it in anger, what the fuck has he been doing with it/how does he know the higher-end cars he mentions don't compare? Also, aside from the mileage and hardtop, the rest of the posting is just listing standard equipment. If you're going to pay $24,000, it better be such low miles and stored such that the car is essentially new, or I expect it to be modified such that it's a bad-ass track car that would cost me 10K more to do myself.

CP - Because Marketplace.

It is more overpriced than even the most overpriced examples I could find across the US.

Way to much, but my S just got 2 new best friends! My s/o decided we needed to get a more practical car than the corolla so a AWD 256 hp hatchback will fit us just fine.

That's kind of the point. He likes the car, but likes it too much. He has never done anything with it that could potentially damage the car and, more importantly, damage his ego. It's a pristine but otherwise average S2K that hasn't been worth $24,000 since it was driven off the lot.

My guess is that his wife has been nagging him get rid of a few of his mid-life crisismobiles and as so long as he "attempts" to sell off his S2K, his wife stays off his back.

CP: I sold my 2006 AP2 S2000 around 3 years ago with Volk TE37s for around $20k and it only had about 18k miles on it.

Not higher than Carmax though. Talk about overpricing...

Holy schnikes. CarMax has pie in the sky dreams on those cars. Even then, at least the models they offer are 07/08, not 03, with fewer miles on the clock. The seller in the OP is smoking some Grade-A Rob Ford Rock.

he's about over by about $6k, 30k miles, and rio pearl for that car.

if this was one of the unicorn GPW with red/black interiors with same mileage same price, then he could command that price from an enthusiast. But yellow on a low (but not exceptionally low) mileage AP1? No way.
